Strategic Direction of the Program
The Specialist Program in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University develops education, research, service, and innovation by positioning regional anesthesia and pain management as key areas of excellence, supported by independence, academic culture, and international competitiveness.
“To become an internationally competitive Specialist Program in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care that is excellent, independent, and culturally grounded, through excellence in regional anesthesia and pain management to support medical tourism by 2042.”
Meaning of the Vision
The Program's vision is built upon three fundamental values: excellence, independence, and cultural integrity.
Excellence
Having strengths in regional anesthesia and pain management that are comparative, competitive, and innovative at the national, regional, and international levels, while making meaningful contributions to the advancement of science, technology, health, and community development.
Independence
Having leadership capacity to manage resources optimally in order to generate innovation, particularly in regional anesthesia and pain management, for the advancement of science and the well-being of humanity.
Cultural Integrity
Upholding an academic culture based on the noble values of Pancasila and universal local wisdom, emphasizing honesty and harmony between good thoughts, words, and actions through the principle of Tri Kaya Parisudha.

Program Mission
To achieve this vision, the Specialist Program in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University has established four main missions.
High-Quality Education and Highly Competent Graduates
To provide high-quality specialist education in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and produce graduates with strong morals, ethics, integrity, and high levels of competence in accordance with local, national, and international societal needs, particularly in regional anesthesia and pain management.
Research, Community Service, and Partnerships
To develop research and community service by expanding collaboration and partnerships, particularly in the fields of regional anesthesia and pain management.
Development of Knowledge, Technology, Culture, and Local Wisdom
To empower the Specialist Program in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care as an institution that generates and develops knowledge, technology, culture, and local wisdom that can be utilized for the well-being of society.
